WELCOME TO IACTA ECHO LIBRARY

How it works

Following is in brief how our website works:

At top menu bar, initial section is about IACTA, its office bearers and various subunits like Indian College of Cardiac Aaesthesia, various certification exams etc.

Second tab is “Submission” which include daily interesting echo and educational power point presentations. Under “Submission”, one can submit their scientific content. Right now we allow all IACTA members to submit free of cost. For non-members, they can also submit free as guest and if found suitable, it will be published as per submission guidelines. All submissions will undergo a peer review process by experts in specialty. We plan to complete every review process in 14 days after submission.

Next is “Echo Atlas” which has all PPT’s and published “daily echo”. The contents will be up-to-date as per real time. To begin, we have allowed free download of contents which will be reviewed over the time.

All IACTA members will receive email of new post on their registered email with IACTA. There would be free secured login to all IACTA members with their registered email as login ID and IACTA number (Capital alphabets and numbers) as password as first login which one should change. Viewing daily echo is free for non IACTA members.

One of important section of the website is dedicated to “Echo Calculations”. Here the formula based calculations are done by our website, once the relevant information is fed for that. To begin with, we have limited and most used calculations which we shall increase as per requirement.

Next there is a column named “References”. This include normal reference values, classification and grading of various valvular abnormalities, various guidelines and reference books information, echo related information on prosthetic valves

All accepted interested echo will be published at 11:00 am on a regular basis. To begin, we are making it on alternate day. This frequency will be reassessed after first phase. The published “Daily Echo” will have echo video clip/picture, questions related to it and then answer to that. For self-assessment, the answer will be hidden on login and will be visible on click to it. Published video will have authors picture and personal information of for that day case on screen.

These are the main features of this first phase of IACTA echo library. We have phase two and phase three features ready which we shall incorporate after the suggestions and opinions of successful first phase.
